I’m Allie Dazeley, founder of Must Have Marketing and your dedicated Digital Marketing Strategist. I didn’t start in a lecture theatre or a corporate training program — I started as a business owner, building and running a retail brand in the UK for over 16 years where every dollar (or rather pounds) of marketing spend had to earn its keep.

Back then, I taught myself SEO under the guidance of one of the UK’s top consultants, learning to compete in the highly competitive fashion and jewellery space. I went from obscurity on page 10 of Google to landing on page one for critical search terms — and that visibility changed everything. It was also the spark that lit a fire. I realised that if I could do this for myself, I could do it for others.

That hands-on, business-first approach eventually led me to Google Ads (which I’ve now been certified in for over 14 years), and to digital consultancy work here in New Zealand — including time within an agency setting before launching Must Have Marketing in 2013.

Now, I bring that same tenacity, resourcefulness, and results-driven mindset to every client I work with — whether you’re running a lean team or scaling something bigger.

Digital Strategist, Business Owner, Lifelong Learner (and Beach Walker)

Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, I moved to New Zealand in 2006 with my family in search of a better lifestyle — more outdoors, less grey skies. We settled on the Hibiscus Coast, and I’ve never looked back.

Since then, life has evolved. I’ve built a home with my now-husband Andrew (a Whangaparāoa local), we share a wonderfully blended family of five, and I’m proud to now watch my son raise a young family of his own. Our dog Chewy — the most intelligent and opinionated pet you’ll ever meet — keeps us on our toes.

Professionally, I’ve spent most of my life self-employed. I ran two bricks-and-mortar retail stores in the UK, alongside three e-commerce businesses — all while wearing every hat imaginable: photographer, SEO lead, buyer, marketer, and manager. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of upskilling. It also lit a fire in me that still burns: I’m tenacious, fiercely competitive (in a good way), and committed to making every client’s investment count.
